Seattle gum wall 2009

Intrivolting (Intriguing + Revolting): the only word I could come up with to describe Seattle’s gum wall … a wall with thousands if not millions of pieces of gum stuck upon it.

Seattle Gum Wall 2009

As you might surmise, I just returned from a trip to Seattle. A very quick weekend up and back on the relatively new airline Virgin America (more to come on that next post), here are a few pictures from the Aquarium:

  1. gross GUM >.< but awwww i love the animals! 😛

  2. Nice shots. How did you get the middle in focus and the edges blurry in your first photo? I’m a new photographer :)

  3. Hey Madison,
Shoot in Aperture Priority or AV mode on your camera, take your f/stop as low as you can for the lens you are using (yours is probably 3.5 or 4.0). Put you ISO on auto. Don’t zoom into your subject, instead YOU get as close as you can and you will see a very small amount of your shot in focus. Hope that helps! :-)
