Okay … this is a travel blog, right? So I should put my travels in here? (I wonder, though, if anyone besides M Go — one of my few subscribers — is actually reading it now?!?) So … I’m in DC for the Entrepreneurs’ Organizations’ Global Leadership Conference. Following in the footsteps of great leaders like Michael Geoghegan, Michael Caito and Matt Stewart, I’ve made my way beyond president of the chapter to a more global role. So … here’s the fun part of this whole trip to DC:

Tomorrow I get to teach the Presidents of, what, something like 5000 entrepreneurs (90 presidents) …. leading billions in business … what they are supposed to do as President. And not only am I not fully prepared, but I’ve been babysitting not one, but 2 members of my chapter who have been — how do I put this politely — puking like rabid dogs for the last 2 hours. Tequila. Yes … nearly 8 rounds of tequila shots later — following, of course, the first 4 rounds of drinks — they had had it. I, on the other hand, was relatively well behaved at 3 drinks … but that didn’t stop me from attempting to clean up after one of our female members.

That was a total mistake, by the way …. the smell was so horrid, I ended up losing it myself. Ugggh… horrid. We won’t dwell there, but let’s suffice to say my best friend is rolling around, moaning on his bed as I type this, laughing at him.

Anyway, last night was fantastic. We had a private dinner at the Smithsonian Castle. What an amazing place… very incredible, from a coin-collection beyond compare, to the life-mask of Abraham Licoln, to the Presidents of YPO and WPO speaking with us … it was really an amazing “perk” to our leadership seminar.

Okay, I’m off to finish my presentation. Wish me luck!!
