Didn't realize that Boubie was getting that forgetful. It must very hard to tell someone bad news more than once....it's so difficult for the first time! We had a wonderful and quiet dinner with Ian and Tiffany. We didn't accept any other invitations so that we could pick up Stella and bring her home for the celebration. On the bitter sweet side, it was so difficult to get her into the house. Ian and Jack had to put her into a kitchen chair and lift the chair all the way from the driveway to the table. Both guys were panting when they put her down. Although Jack had to feed her and she was never able to speak a word, all went well and we were glad for her company. Just before it was time to take her home she peacefully fell asleep in the chair. We finished our game of dominoes. Jack shook her to get her to wake up before again carrying the chairto the car. A few gentle shakes and nothing happened! A few more shakes, harder this time and no luck. She didn't wake up. I panicked. I looked at her ashen face and relived the last minutes with my own mom. I started to cry while reaching for the phone to call 911. Finally, her eyes opened somewhat. I was crying so hard I could hardly say goodbye. I hugged her and told her I loved her. I would not have been surprised if we had gotten a call last night that she died in her sleep. I am very glad that we took the time to bring her home, isn't that whatThanksgivings about. Mom
